Anastasia Brow Wiz

I've always wished for bold stand-out eyebrows, but i'm so fair, my eyebrows never seem to look good. Enter Anastasia Brow Wiz, i think this has made my eyebrows look as good as they're ever gonna get.

I'd seen this used in many youtube tutorials and always thought the price was a bit steep for a pencil/crayon (£15.50)
I'm not really one to spend a lot of money on a makeup product unless i've tried it before and know that it does a great job. But i thought i'd take a risk, and i'm so glad i did!
I bought it in the shade medium brown, i like to go a few shades darker on my eyebrows and i think this is the perfect shade for a stand out yet natural look.

It's double ended, on one end theres a brush, which comes in super handy, i like to brush my eyebrows before i apply it and i also like to brush them after, it helps blend it in and look a little bit more natural, i brush my eyebrow hairs up, to help show the shape of them. I like to have mine a little messy, i know it's a huge trend to have perfect immaculate eyebrows but i like them to look a little untidy, again - to make them look that little bit more natural.

I've been using either a pencil or shadow to fill in my brows, but i'm really convinced that using a crayon - something with more of a waxy texture, really does make a difference.
It doesn't need sharpening, you just turn the base and it makes the crayon longer/shorter.
Theres so many shades to choose from, Auburn, Caramel, Chocolate, Dark Brown, Ebony, Granite, Medium Brown, Soft Brown and Taupe, which makes finding the shade that matches your brows so much easier.

I really love how tiny the nib is, it makes it very easy to draw on the individual hairs, creating a really nice natural look, and it's also much easier to alter the shape of your brows, as you can add in a few more hairs to create a bolder shape if you like.

I'm so glad i took a risk and bought this, i now know what all the fuss is about and i'll most definitely be repurchasing!

May Glossybox

I'm so excited that i've received my first Glossybox! I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to subscribe, as i love trying out new beauty products and this is so worthwhile.
For £10 a month you receive 5 different products, some are full sized and some are travel sized. They are beautifully packaged, and the box is so handy to keep for storage. The contents of the box are worth a lot more than the £10 you pay.

Another thing i really like about Glossybox is that when i subscribed, i was asked a few questions so they could send what suited my beauty needs, it felt very personal.

I received this about a week ago, and today i also received my June Festival Glossybox, so expect a post about that aswell at some point next week!

I'm planning on reviewing these products separately, i'll mention in the post if the product is from a Glosssybox, and also from what month.
I'm really looking forward to trying them out!

Boohoo Pinafore Dress

Everything that i'm wearing?, as usual! I just can't get enough, the clothes are so in style, yet so affordable.

I think monochrome will always be a trend.
I found the pinafore dress online, and fell in love, the model was wearing a striped top underneath it, and i thought it looked so cute and stylish.

I've been looking for a simple bag for a while, and i adore this satchel, the colour of the bag really brightens up the outfit, and the rounded sunglasses are an absolute fave of mine at the moment.

I recently purchased Lipcote Lipstick Sealer, and i can't even begin to explain to you how great this is. I love wearing lipstick, in fact, i never not wear it, and i love to wear bright bold colours, which as you'll know, can be a pain in the butt as you have to keep reapplying it to get the full effect of a bold lippy.

Since using this, my lipstick lasts for hours, even after eating and drinking.
You simply apply a lipstick of your choice, blot, and then apply the lipstick sealer and leave it to dry. It stings a little at first, but after a while the stinging stops and it turns into a tingling sensation, which goes after a few seconds. It also has a chemically smell to it, but that also fades after a few seconds.

I love the applicator, it goes on really easily and seeing as it's clear it doesn't matter too much if you go over the lines of your lipstick. I usually go over the lines anyway, so it prevents my lipstick from bleeding and smudging.

My bottle has now turned red, as i wear a trusty red lippy most days. But even when i wear a nude lip, or a dark lip, the redness of the liquid doesn't transfer, it still comes out clear. I think i've just stained it!

I haven't tried using this over lip gloss, so i'm not sure if it'll work as well, but i don't tend to wear lipgloss often, and Lipcote gives your lips a natural and very subtle shine when you apply it anyways.

I now swear by Lipcote, i wouldn't be without it, it means i can go about my day and not have to worry about my lipstick rubbing off on my teeth or smudging.

Have you tried the Lipcote Lipstick Sealer?

Marc Jacobs Daisy

Marc Jacobs Daisy is my favourite fragrance.
It's such a feminine, floral and light scent, thats perfect for Spring and Summer.
It's not over powering and lasts a really long time.

I've been a fan of Daisy for a while, i think i was about 14 when i walked into Boots and had a whiff of one of the perfumes, and i instantly fell in love with the scent.

It's a perfect size to keep in my handbag and i love it.
The packaging is so pretty, i adore the glass bottle and the playful daisies that appear on the gold lid.
It looks so lovely sitting on my dressing table!

The top notes of this fragrance include strawberry and violet leaves, the top notes are the lightest, and it's usually what you smell when you first apply it.
The heart notes include violet petals and jasmine bouquet, this is what you can smell when the top notes fade.
When the heart notes evaporate, the base notes appear, and this includes musk and vanilla. This is the scent that stays the longest.
Together they all create a really beautiful scent, which i love wearing.

Applying this just makes me feel so happy and good about myself! Theres nothing i don't like about this fragrance.
What do you think of Marc Jacobs Daisy?

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

This post is more of a recommendation than a review.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is my favourite book, and if you haven't read it, i think you should!

I'm not much of a reader - i tend to get easily distracted.
I'm a massive fan of the Harry Potter books, and read them quite easily, but since then i've struggled to find a book that holds my attention.

It surprised me that i couldn't stop reading, as it's not one of those books thats gripping and constantly has you on the edge of your seat, its a very simple read. Very different to the Harry Potter books!
It's written by Stephen Chbosky, an american novelist, screenwriter and film director.
It's set in the early 90's, and the book follows a teenager named Charlie. Charlie narrates, and one of the main reasons i love this book so much as that it's actually in letters, from Charlie, to an unknown recipent. It made me feel like i was the one that was receiving the letters which i think is why i felt so involved in the story.

Charlie is shy, intelligant, and very socially awkward, he is a wallflower.

I don't want to explain any of the story to you, i think if you haven't already, you should give it a read, and let me know what you think!
If you have read it, leave a comment and tell me what you thought of the story!

I'm going to end this post with my favourite quote from the book.

"I know these will all be stories some day, and our pictures will become old photographs. We all become somebody's mom or dad. But right now, these moments are not stories. This is happening. I am here, and i am looking at her. And she is so beautiful. I can see it. This one moment when you know you're not a sad story. You are alive. And you stand up and see the lights on the buildings and everything makes you wonder. And you're listening to that song, and that drive with the people who you love most in this world. And in this moment, i swear, we are infinite."

Parma Violets & Fairy Dust

I recently discovered a new candle brand that i'd never heard of before, Lily Flame.
I was browsing on Amazon for candles when i came across two very cute scents, Fairy Dust, and my absolute favourite scent, Parma Violets.

I then went on to the Lily Flame website, and came across even more adorable scents, some came in tins, others in jars. They even sell mist sprays, diffusers and and glassware.

After a long browse, Fairy Dust and Parma Violets were the two scented candles i went for.
At £8.50 each, i'm very happy with my buys!
i can't wait to go back onto the website and order some different scents.

The Parma Violets scent is exactly how it sounds. As soon as i opened the tin i was overwhelmed by that sweet scent, the exact scent that overwhelmed me as i opened a pack of Parma Violets when i was younger.

Fairy Dust smells exactly as i imagine Fairy Dust to smell like, powdery and magical.
I can't quite decide which of the two are my favourite, as they both smell gorgeous.

Even when they're sat on my bedside table, unlit, with the lid off, the scent makes its way around my bedroom.

I love these candles, and Lily Flame has now become one of my favourite candle brands.
